Space, Body and Meaning: Exploring the Anatomy of Trust using Movement Fundamentals

  • Heart Body and Soul 1004 West Worley Street Columbia, MO, 65203 United States (map)

Would you like to feel more at home in your body?  Do you seek healthier connections with yourself and the world around you?

What is it we can learn today about Trust and Resiliency by moving with concepts explored by Plato some 2000 years ago? If we give ourselves permission to fully immerse ourselves, our whole bodies, into the energies of his three-dimensional geometric forms, we learn the Anatomy of Trust    In this Movement Fundamentals, we will be exploring the basic fundamental concepts of integrated and dynamically alive three-dimensional movement and the meaning of this movement for our lives, individually and communally.

In the July session we discussed some history and explored the stability inherent in moving the shape of the Octagon, our crystal-form template for moving our relationship with Stability.  In August we played with the spatial pulls and energies of the Octahedron and the Planes of 3D space.  In September. we challenged ourselves to move in two-dimensional planes with stability and wholeness. In November, we explore this work with more somatic and emotional awareness. How do we stand up for ourselves? How do we create community? What is the experience of being grounded and fully present? What is it like to Advance into an experience or Retreat away from one?

What does it MEAN to consciously move with Spatial awareness?

I invite you to show up and find out the meaning of Space Harmony as explored by Rudolf Laban!  Newcomers welcome!

Movement Fundamentals is an opportunity to explore basic body connections, to enhance your total body integration and the deepen resilience, groundedness and connectivity in all aspects of your life.
