RAIN OR SHINE!

Join us for Mid Missouri's first time to be involved with this global event dedicated to raising the awareness of the importance of safe drinking water through the language of movement and dance!

Like our planet, our bodies are made up of 70% water. Clean, safe, living water is important to all of us. In our event we raise awareness about the importance of our small tributary, Grindstone Creek, to the safety and health of all the waters of the world! We also invite participants to recognize the healing powers of Water.
For more general information about this world-wide movement, visit Global Water Dances

The ritual & performance piece of this event will start at 3 p.m. We invite you to dress in flowing fabrics and/or in the colors of blue and/or white on this day to invite in your connection with the world’s waters.

We will be meeting to pick up trash and set up the performance site at 2. We would appreciate any help with this!

Because of the nature of parking at this site, we ask folks to hike or bike in from the trail, to park at Capen Park and walk in or to car pool! We want to be kind to all who are using the park on this day! Please bring chairs/blankets for seating, as the audience will be sitting on a grassy hillock! There will be a part of the event where you have the opportunity to cross Grindstone Creek - please bring a walking stick and water shoes!

If you are interested in being a part of this in some way, please contact Victoria by email or phone 573-575-MOVE (6683).
