Introduction to (re)Claiming The Physical Art of Sitting Meditation

  • Heart Body & Soul 1004 West Worley Columbia, MO (map)

Consider - how do you practice the art of sitting in meditation? Sitting on a meditation cushion or in a chair seems like it should be easy - but for many of us, we discover we do not know how to sit properly or even to sit still!

Join Victoria for this introductory session of (re)Claiming the Physical Art of Sitting Meditation, an evening workshop open to any one curious about Embodied Meditation. In this experiential and informational workshop you can get a taste of what will also be offered as a longer six-week series in March - May.

The fee for this workshop is on a donation basis. It will be held in the studio space of Heart, Body and Soul. Drop-ins welcome.

The six-week educational and experiential series “Embodied Spirituality: (re)Claiming the Physical Art of Seated Meditation” will be offered on Sunday afternoons from 2 - 4 on the following dates: Mar 24, Mar 31, April 14, April 28, May 12 and May 26.

This will be an intimate-sized educational, practice and process group. The workshop material will be inspired by the writings of Erika Berland, Will Johnson , Julie Henderson and Amoda Maa as well as Victoria’s extensive somatic and spiritual experience.

To attend will require pre-registration and a commitment to the series. The cost is $120 if registered by Mar 1; $150 if registered by Mar 24, if spaces are available.

Register by mailing check to Embodiment LLC, P.O. Box 118, Columbia, MO 65205 or Venmo your payment to @EmbodimentLLC.

Participation by Zoom will be made available if there is interest expressed in online participation expressed to Victoria by March 18.
